Howard County Master Gardeners
Howard County Master Gardeners are volunteers, trained by the university of Maryland, who provide horticultural education services to individuals, groups, neighborhood associations, non-profit organizations, historic sites, schools and youth groups, senior citizens and garden clubs. Master Gardener programs and services are available free of charge to all Howard County residents and community groups. Check the website to find out how you can become a Master Gardener!
Tastewise Kids / Days of Taste
TasteWise Kids inspires kids to explore and experience the world of food and its sources. Kids are empowered to think about food in new ways and to realize that "healthy" food and good-tasting food are not mutually exclusive. Kids get the opportunity to discover for themselves that good taste, nutritious food, and good health go together. Read more on the website and volunteer for the Days of Taste program.

The Roving Radish
The Roving Radish promotes healthy farm-to-table eating habits by supplying healthy meals to our residents, especially those in need, while creating a sustainable market for local farms. Volunteers are needed to help in the kitchen!

University of Maryland Extension – Howard County
The University of Maryland Extension service assists Howard County citizens with programs for crop and animal production, fruit and vegetables, family resources, water quality, food, nutrition and health, 4-H youth development, fair and livestock shows, gardening and horticulture.
