Mar 5-6 Maryland Legislature to consider Clean Energy Jobs Initiative

The "Clean Energy Jobs Act" bill (HB 1453) calls for Maryland to set a target of getting 50% of our electricity from clean renewable sources by 2030; it also has provisions to boost job training and support for minority and women-owned businesses in the renewable sector. More about the initiative is found here.
The House Economic Committee hearing is set for March 5 at 2:00 p.m. The companion bill in the Senate has a hearing in the Senate Finance Committee on March 6 at 1:00 p.m.
