Folks - Your calls and emails to urge stronger climate action have an impact. Witness today's decision by Maryland and other Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) states to deepen GHG cuts over the 2020 to 2030 period (see below link). The RGGI's five GOP governors and four Democratic governors showed that bipartisan progress on climate is possible, but it's the bottom-up pressure from ordinary citizens that empowers them to do the right thing. Sure, it's not "perfect" and there's much more we want our leaders to do, but it's a step in the right direction. Thanks to all for their efforts and onward we go! TL
