Come support new county environmental initiative

From Josh Feldmark:

I wanted to invite everybody to join County Executive Calvin Ball and the Office of Community Sustainability, and the Howard County Conservancy at the Howard County Conservancy - Mt. Pleasant on September 6th at 9am for an important announcement about Howard County's plans to protect and promote pollinator habitat in Howard County.

Our health and the health of our local ecosystems depend on pollinators. We look forward to seeing you on the 6th as we kick off this exciting new initiative for pollinators.  Additionally, we will be making an announcement concerning the use of pesticides on County owned property – with specific attention to Neonicotinoids, Chlorpyrifos, and Glyphosate.

Not to give too much away but this going to be a big deal and it is critically important that we show the Executive strong support from the environmental community.  So please do all that you can to be there and bring a friend (or two).  Anything you can do to spread the word to your members, contacts, and allies would be much appreciated.

Friday, September 6th at 9:00 a.m.
